Location: Sydney, NSW

Services: Laboratory Gases, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Compressed air, Nitrogen, H2/N2, Helium, Argon

The new 11,000m² Engineering & Technology Building extends the existing J03 facility, formerly known as the Electrical Engineering Building. Designed and constructed by Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction, it includes advanced teaching laboratories and state-of-the-art biomedical, semiconductor, and chemical research laboratories.

Hoslab Projects Pty Ltd was engaged to design, supply, install, test, & commission the complete Laboratory Gas Installation for the facility. This included:

– Stainless steel orbital-welded gas distribution systems

– Liquid nitrogen reticulation in vacuum-insulated pipework, incorporating an adjustable pressure phase separator for dual-phase nitrogen delivery

– Carbon dioxide and vacuum infrastructure

– A comprehensive Life Safety Gas Monitoring System

The facility now provides students, scientists, and engineers with access to purpose-built, world-class infrastructure tailored to cutting-edge research and learning.
